Eric Sorenson

Eric Sorenson is a recognized expert in business strategy, marketing,
and technology with over 25-years’ experience helping companies enter, navigate, and succeed in complex markets. He has founded and led multiple marketing and technology companies resulting in billions of dollars in value creation.
Eric currently runs Global Connex, which helps companies enter and thrive in the U.S. market. He has extensive experience developing and operationalizing marketing strategies in multiple industries, including CPG, retail, manufacturing, energy, and others.
Eric founded and led: Strategies 360, which he grew into one of the largest and most successful full-service marketing and communications firms in the U.S. with over 180 FTEs, 20 offices across North America, partners in Indonesia, year-over-year revenue and profit growth of 25%+ for 17 years, and hundreds of millions of dollars in revenues; Marketing 360, a Chicago-based marketing strategy firm specializing in pricing, product development, customer experience and brand strategy, serving clients such as Black & Decker, CVS, and Unilever; and conceptualized and operationalized G4 Analytics, a technology company that built software based on his marketing ideas, which was acquired by The Nielsen Company.
Earlier in his career, Eric was an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where
he was an early pioneer in the application of data and information technology to marketing strategy. At the Kellogg School he helped start the Center for Retail Management and served as its managing director for five years. Under his leadership, the Center became the largest and most successful university-based consulting center of its kind, sponsored by over 40 of the world’s leading corporations and retailers including Coca Cola, Kraft, Johnson & Johnson, CVS, Kroger, and Target, and developed several important marketing concepts, including database marketing, category management, and consumer loyalty.
Eric has been a venture partner at several venture capital firms, evaluating deal flow and helping increase portfolio companies’ enterprise value. He has consulted to many of the country’s largest, and most successful companies including disruptors Tesla, Lyft, and Airbnb. He has served on the boards of directors of several consumer goods companies.
Eric received an MBA with Distinction from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where he was an Austin Scholar and a dual-major in marketing and management strategy. Eric holds a BA in Economics from Stanford University, and a Certificate in Artificial Intelligence Applications from the Kellogg School.
A devoted husband and father, he is dependent on the love and support of his brilliant wife, who was born and raised in South Korea, and his joyful worldly children.
